Sheep and Alpacas Killed in Disturbing Attacks
Kent Police’s Rural Task Force is scrambling for leads after two separate brutal attacks left alpacas and sheep dead near Nettlestead. Between August 16 and 17, two sheep were found dead and ten more injured in a field off maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone Road.
Just days later, on the night of August 18 to 19, two alpacas in a nearby field were attacked and died from their wounds.
Police Seek Owners of Lurcher-Type Dogs Seen Unsupervised
Police Sergeant Darren Walshaw has issued a direct appeal for information. “We want anyone with knowledge that might help our investigation to come forward,” he said.
Officers are keen to find the owners of two dogs thought to be lurchers—one dark, one light—seen roaming unsupervised near the attack sites around the time of the incidents.
