Masked Gunman Hits A40 Garage in Bold Armed Robbery
A masked man pulled off a daring armed robbery at a garage on the busy A40 in Lea, Herefordshire, last night. West Mercia Police are urgently hunting the brazen thief.
Gunpoint Raid Ends with Speedy Getaway
Around 7.45pm, a white man with a British accent stormed into the garage. Dressed all in black and wearing a balaclava, he threatened the shop assistant with what appeared to be a gun. He demanded cash and grabbed a stash of cigarettes before making a quick escape on foot, heading towards Gloucestershire.
Heavy Police Manhunt Underway – Locals Urged to Stay Sharp
Armed officers swarmed the scene immediately after the robbery. West Mercia Police warn locals to stay vigilant as detectives launch a full-scale hunt for the suspect.
Detective Inspector Dave Knight from Reactive CID said:
“If you witnessed anything or have CCTV or dashcam footage from around the time, please get in touch.”
