Man Arrested for Drink-Driving After E-Bike and Moped Crash in Bexleyheath
A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a collision between an e-bike and a moped outside Better Gym on Broadway, Bexleyheath. The crash happened just before 5.30pm on Friday, 18 July.
Crash Causes Panic Outside Gym
The 57-year-old moped rider was involved in the smash. The e-bike rider suffered minor injuries and was treated on scene before being rushed to hospital. He was later taken into police custody but has since been released with no further action.
Police and Ambulance Respond Swiftly
Metropolitan Police spokesperson: “Police were called at 17:27hrs on Friday, 18 July to reports of a road traffic collision between a moped and an e-bike on Broadway, Bexleyheath. The man on the e-bike was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink-driving. He has since been released with no further action. Enquiries are ongoing.”
London Ambulance Service spokesperson: “We were called at 5.23pm on Friday 18 July to reports of a road traffic collision on Broadway, Bexleyheath. We treated a patient and took them to hospital as a priority.”
