Blaze Devours Popular Maidstone Nightclub
A huge fire tore through a well-known Maidstone nightclub, sending 15 fire engines and over 100 firefighters racing to the scene at its height.
Firefighters Battle Massive Blaze
Eight fire engines and a height vehicle remain at the site on Week Street, where crews continue to tackle the aftermath. The blaze was brought under control after heroic efforts to stop it spreading to neighbouring properties.
Safety Warnings Lifted But Caution Remains
The earlier advice for nearby residents and businesses to keep windows and doors shut due to thick smoke has now been lifted. However, the public is still urged to avoid the area as firefighters and emergency crews clean up.
No Injuries Reported, Police Assist Firefighters
Kent Police were called at 2.53am on Wednesday 14 July to a commercial fire and remain on scene to help manage road closures and support Kent Fire and Rescue Service. Luckily, there have been no injuries reported.
