Teen Crushed to Death on Fairground Ride After Break-In
Tragedy struck at Pencester Garden Fair early Wednesday morning when a 19-year-old local man was crushed to death on a fairground ride. Emergency services were called just after 7:45am following reports that a group had broken into the fairground and started the ride.
Crime Scene and Lockdown in Place
Kent Fire and Rescue’s Technical Rescue team is working alongside police officers to recover the victim, despite the desperate efforts of paramedics and firefighters at the scene. The entire fairground has been locked down as a crime scene while investigations are underway.
Police Warn Public to Stay Clear
