M25 Chaos in Essex: Lorry Crash Sparks Major Lane Closures
Lanes 1 and 2 on the M25 anti-clockwise between J26 (Waltham Abbey) and J25 (Waltham Cross/Cheshunt) are shut after a lorry crashed into the nearside barrier. The crash happened at 7.10pm Tuesday, leaving the vehicle lodged down the embankment near the River Lea brook.
Hazardous Load Sparks Full Closure
The lorry was carrying a full load of flammable liquids, forcing emergency crews to take extra caution. To safely remove the cargo, a full carriageway closure will come into effect around 4am from J27 to J25. This closure could last throughout the entire morning.
Delays and Diversions: What Drivers Need to Know
Once the full shutdown starts, drivers will be rerouted off the M25 at J27 southbound onto the M11, then onto the A406 North Circular Road. From there, motorists must head west via Edmonton to the A10 Great Cambridge Road, then north on the A10 to rejoin the M25 at J25.
Plan your journey accordingly and expect heavy delays in the area.
