Two Arrested After Portsmouth Stabbing
Two men have been arrested following a stabbing in Portsmouth that left a 30-year-old man injured. The victim from Baffins was stabbed in the hand late last night.
Police Hunt for Stabbing Weapon
Police were called just after 11pm. On arrival, they found the man with a stab wound to his hand. Crime scene officers and specialist search teams combed through overgrowth at a nearby property, searching for the weapon used in the attack.
Officers were seen leaving the scene carrying evidence bags as the investigation continues.
Two Men Held on Serious Assault Charges
A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman confirmed: “Officers arrested a 24-year-old and a 28-year-old, both from Portsmouth, on suspicion of Section 18 Grievous Bodily Harm with intent.” Both remain in custody.
She added: “We believe all involved know each other. There is no wider risk to the public at this time. Officers remain at the scene conducting enquiries.”
