Knife-Wielding Man Tasered and Caught on N17 Street
Drama erupted on Shelbourne Road at the Lansdowne Road junction in N17 on Sunday morning. Police raced to the scene after reports of an armed man causing trouble.
Armed Suspect Tasered by Officers
At around 11:12am, officers confronted a man in his 50s brandishing a knife and a chisel. To safely subdue him, cops used a Taser. The man was swiftly arrested for possession of a bladed weapon.
Second Arrest and Ongoing Investigation
A second man, aged in his 40s, was also detained nearby on suspicion of affray. Both are now in police custody as investigations continue.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Police are calling on anyone with information to come forward and help with the inquiry.
