A brutal murder investigation is underway after a 20-year-old man was stabbed to death in broad daylight in Mile End.
Stabbing Shock in Pickard Gardens
Just after 1:28pm on Wednesday, 30 April, emergency crews rushed to Pickard Gardens following reports of a stabbing. Paramedics and the London Air Ambulance fought to save the young victim, but he tragically died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving specialist support.
The attack also left a 16-year-old boy and a 24-year-old woman injured. Both were taken to hospital, with police still awaiting updates on their conditions.
Three Arrests Made in Murder Probe
The Metropolitan Police have arrested three suspects linked to the fatal stabbing. Sources say the victim and the main suspect were known to each other. Inspector Chris Couzens confirmed:
“We regret to report that a murder investigation is under way following the death of a man in Mile End. Three arrests have been made and enquiries remain ongoing.”
Crime Scene Locked Down – Police Urge Public to Speak Up
A large police cordon remains in place around William Whiffin Square near the stabbing site. Officers are combing the area for evidence and conducting door-to-door inquiries.
