NatWest App Crash Leaves Thousands Locked Out
Major Outage Hits NatWest Mobile Banking
Thousands of NatWest customers woke up to chaos on Sunday morning as the bank’s mobile app went down, locking users out of their accounts. The meltdown started just after 7:00 a.m. on 10 November and quickly snowballed, with over 1,000 complaints flooding DownDetector by 9:00 a.m.
Frustration Boils Over on Social Media
Customers vented their fury online, reporting they couldn’t access both the app and the online banking portal. The outage has sparked fresh headaches for users already fed up with digital glitches.
“We are aware that some of our customers are experiencing difficulty logging in to the mobile app this morning. We’re working to resolve this as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused,” a NatWest spokesperson said.
NatWest added there’s currently “no timescale” for fixing the issue but promised prompt updates.
Repeat Digital Failures for NatWest
This latest crash isn’t the first. NatWest suffered similar outages in May, August, and October. The bank is urging customers to check its service status page or visit a branch if urgent help is needed.
For the latest updates, customers should keep an eye on NatWest’s social media and website as the bank scrambles to restore full service.
