Tragic Late-Night Crash Claims Life of Biker on Scottish Road

A deadly smash involving a Vauxhall Corsa and a Suzuki motorcycle unfolded just after midnight on 4 September 2021. The crash happened on the B6357 Annan to Jedburgh Road, close to the A75 junction near Gretna.

Victim Named as Steven Armstrong from Lockerbie

The 52-year-old motorcyclist, Steven Armstrong from Lockerbie, died at the scene. His family has been informed. The 31-year-old driver of the car walked away unharmed.

Police Plead for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Sergeant Bob McNay of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who sadly lost his life and those directly affected by this collision. The investigation is ongoing.”

“We’re asking anyone who was nearby or has dashcam footage from around the time to come forward and help with our enquiries.”

“If you have any information, please call police on 101 quoting incident 1480 of 4 September 2021.”
