Brutal Midnight Brawl Leaves Man Fighting for Life in Newark
Just after 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 26, a violent attack shattered the calm in Middle Gate.
Two brothers were heading to another pub after a night out when three men stormed their way. The 39-year-old took a savage beating, knocked unconscious and rushed to Queen’s Medical Centre, where he remains in critical condition. His brother escaped with minor injuries.
Police Hunt Trio of Thugs Behind Shocking Assault
Authorities have slammed the attack as “unprovoked” and are desperate to catch the culprits. Detectives described the suspects as white males in their late twenties.
“This was an unprovoked attack on two brothers enjoying a night out in Newark with their friends,” said Detective Inspector Pam Dowson. “The pair had visited several pubs earlier in the evening and were on their way back to The Duck when the incident occurred.”
Witnesses Urged to Speak Up as Investigation Intensifies
The shocking assault has devastated the victim’s family. Police have launched multiple lines of enquiry, including reviewing CCTV footage, and now urge anyone who was near Middle Gate at the time to come forward.
