Egg Attack Chaos in Chippenham: Cars Pelted, Drivers Assaulted
Between 6pm and 8.30pm yesterday (21/02), a gang terrorised Chippenham streets by hurling eggs and stones at passing cars. When drivers stopped to confront the thugs, they were viciously assaulted.
Multiple Locations Targeted
The attacks took place across several spots, including Ladyfield Road, Hungerdown Lane, and Queen’s Crescent.
“This was a series of frightening incidents where people had their cars hit with eggs and stones,” said Sergeant Rich Marshall from the Chippenham Area Community Policing Team. “If drivers got out to confront the group, they were assaulted. Thankfully, nobody was seriously hurt, but it could have easily turned worse.”
Police Release CCTV Images – Can You ID These Four?
Officers have released CCTV images of four people they want to question over the violent spree. They’re urging anyone with info or private footage – dash cams, doorbells, CCTV – to come forward.
