Tragic Crash: Young Man Dies as Ford Focus Hits Wall and Bursts into Flames
Fatal Smash in Fife
On Saturday, 14 May at around 7.30pm, a 22-year-old man lost his life in a horror crash on the B914 between Kelty and Saline. The man was driving a Ford Focus when he collided with a wall at the junction with the B915. The car caught fire immediately after the impact.
Emergency Services Respond
Emergency crews rushed to the scene but sadly, the young driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The road remained closed overnight and was only reopened around 3am on Sunday, 15 May.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Sergeant Colin Morrison of the Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died. Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of this collision.”
He added: “We urge anyone who saw the Ford Focus driving on the B914 at the time, or anyone with dash-cam footage, to contact us. Your help is vital to our investigation.”
