A schoolboy has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shocking incident at a busy Reading shopping centre.

Serious Emergency at Topman Store

The 12-year-old was airlifted to Royal Berkshire Hospital and is currently undergoing emergency surgery. Eyewitnesses say the terrifying event took place inside the Topman store within the shopping centre.

Police have closed the store and are questioning staff as officers swarm the scene. The usually bustling centre is now eerily quiet amid the ongoing investigation.

Emergency Services Respond Rapidly

A South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman revealed: “We received a call at 4.12pm reporting a 12-year-old boy suffering a serious medical emergency.”

“He was in a life-threatening condition. We sent three ambulances and two officers in a rapid response vehicle.”

After treatment at the scene, he was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital, still in a life-threatening condition.
