Police chase ends in Croydon as stolen car suspects flee on foot
High-speed police pursuit
At 9.17pm on Thursday, 19 January, officers in a marked patrol car spotted a suspected stolen vehicle in West Wickham. When the driver ignored police orders to stop, a police helicopter was scrambled to help with the chase.
Suspects ditch car and run
The stolen car finally ground to a halt on Lower Addiscombe Road in Croydon at 9.23pm. The occupants jumped out and sprinted away on foot.
Three suspects caught and held
Police gave chase and caught three suspects nearby. The trio were arrested and remain in custody as investigations continue.
