Tragedy Strikes at Linn of Tummel Waterfall
The peaceful Linn of Tummel waterfall in Perth and Kinross turned grim after two young men, aged 22 and 26, were found dead in what police suspect was a tragic accident.
Distress Call Sparks Search
Police Scotland were alerted just after 7 pm on Wednesday, April 17, about two men spotted in the water near the waterfall close to Blair Atholl. Emergency services rushed to the scene and launched a thorough search operation.
Bodies Recovered Despite Rescue Efforts
Rescue teams bravely combed the area but sadly recovered the bodies of both men from the water. A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed inquiries are ongoing.
“There would not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding these deaths,”
they said.
