Pedestrian Killed in Horror Crash on A444 Bedworth Bypass

A 55-year-old man has died after being hit by a lorry on the A444 Bedworth bypass in the early hours of Saturday, February 22. The white Mercedes articulated lorry struck the pedestrian around 1:10 AM, between Heath Road and Walsingham Drive.

Emergency services rushed to the scene but the man was pronounced dead at once. Warwickshire Police have informed his next of kin and are offering support during this tragic time.

Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Warwickshire Police are hunting for anyone who saw the collision or the moments before. Detective Inspector Sarah Collins, leading the probe, said:

“We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss of life. We are working tirelessly to understand exactly what happened and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision to come forward. Even the smallest piece of information could be vital to our investigation.”
