Tragedy Strikes Chislehurst School as Teen Dies After Collapsing
A 15-year-old pupil at a secondary school in Chislehurst has tragically passed away after suffering a sudden medical emergency on Monday, May 13. The boy collapsed at the school on Hawkwood Lane and was rushed to hospital by London’s Air Ambulance, but sadly could not be saved.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious, leaving the community reeling in shock.
Heartfelt Tribute from Headteacher
Headteacher Claire Bessa issued a moving statement:

Rapid Emergency Response on the Scene
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson revealed crews were called to the school at 1.20pm on May 13. Two ambulance teams, a paramedic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer were promptly dispatched.
London’s Air Ambulance arrived within minutes to assist. The teenage boy was treated on site and was taken to hospital as a priority. Despite desperate efforts, he later died.
Police Confirm No Suspicious Circumstances
The Metropolitan Police confirmed:
“Police were called at 1.25pm to a school in bromley/" title="Bromley" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Bromley where a 15-year-old boy was suffering a medical emergency.
“The boy was transported by London’s Air Ambulance to hospital, where he sadly died.
“His death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious. Officers are supporting the family and the school community.”
