A huge fire has ripped through a restaurant on Portswood Road, Southampton. The blaze broke out at around 7:30pm and emergency crews rushed to the scene with a massive response.
Firefighters Battle Fierce Flames with Full Force
Over 70 firefighters and officers are battling the inferno using two aerial ladders and two water carriers. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have deployed 14 engines from across the region, including St Mary’s, Hightown, Redbridge, Eastleigh, and Hamble.
Road Closure and Public Safety Measures
Portswood Road has been completely closed to traffic and pedestrians as crews tackle the blaze. Residents nearby have been urged to keep their windows and doors shut to avoid smoke inhalation.
