Bomb Truck Terror Strikes Grand Blanc Church

Horror rocked a Michigan church as a war veteran slammed a truck loaded with bombs into the front door. Thomas Jacob Sanford, 40, a former Iraq soldier, launched this terrifying attack on the 1st Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc. Hundreds of worshippers were inside, about to take the sacrament, when Sanford jumped out and started shooting.

The nightmare didn’t end there. Sanford allegedly set the packed church on fire before police fatally shot him in a fierce gun battle.

Bombs, Blaze and Panic

Flames and thick black smoke billowed for miles, as emergency crews scrambled to the scene. Authorities fear the death toll could rise as they comb through the scorched wreckage.

Police found Sanford’s truck packed with improvised explosive devices (IEDs), raising the stakes in this brutal assault. One stunned churchgoer said, “We were just about to take the sacrament when a massive bang shook the building. At first, we thought it was an accident, but then we saw American flags on the truck and knew it was no accident.”

Who Is Thomas Sanford?

Sanford served in Iraq from 2004 to 2008, relatives revealed on social media. Despite his violent end, online profiles show him as a family man with a wife and young son.

National Outrage and Calls for Peace

Former President Donald Trump condemned the attack and called for an end to America’s “epidemic of violence.” He tweeted:

“PRAY for the victims, and their families. THIS EPIDEMIC OF VIOLENCE IN OUR COUNTRY MUST END, IMMEDIATELY!”

Spokesperson Doug Anderson for the Utah-based Mormon faith said:

“Places of worship are meant to be sanctuaries of peacemaking, prayer and connection. We pray for peace and healing for all involved.”

Michigan Republican Rep. John James added:

“On this Sunday, a day meant for worship and peace, such violence is a grave evil. Our prayers are with the victims, their families, and the entire community.”
