Lockdown chaos at Bromley school sparks arrest
Intruders Spark Lockdown at Haberdashers’ Knights Academy
A lockdown rocked Haberdashers’ Knights Academy in Bromley on May 16 after three pupils from another school gatecrashed the Launcelot Road campus without permission. The academy acted swiftly, locking down the site as a safety precaution under strict safeguarding rules.
The school reassured parents that none of the outsiders made it inside the building. The lockdown was purely to protect students and staff while the situation was brought under control.
Teen Girl Arrested Amid Incident
Police soon arrived on the scene and arrested a 13-year-old girl on suspicion of common assault. She has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
“The investigation is ongoing,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson.
Thankfully, no one was hurt during the incident. Normal school operations got back on track shortly after the lockdown lifted.
School Pledges Tightened Security
Haberdashers’ Knights Academy reaffirmed that student safety is their top priority and thanked parents for their understanding. Both school officials and police are now reviewing security measures to prevent any unauthorised entries in the future.
