Teen Stabbed to Death in Hackney as Police Crack Down on Violence
15-Year-Old Killed in Somerford Grove Stabbing
A 15-year-old boy has been fatally stabbed on Somerford Grove, Hackney Downs, N16. Scotland Yard confirmed officers were called just before 9pm. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:49pm.
Second Teen Injured in Nearby Attack
In a related incident, another boy, believed to be 16, was stabbed on Shacklewell Road. Thankfully, his injuries are reportedly not life-threatening.
Met Police Launch Borough-Wide Stop and Search
To stop the bloodshed, the Met has slapped a Section 60 Stop and Search order across Hackney. Forensic teams are combing the scene, but no arrests have been made so far.
Violence Escalates Following Recent Hackney Murder
This brutal attack comes just days after 29-year-old Joshua White was stabbed to death on Frampton Park Road, E9, on April 26. A 16-year-old boy has been charged with his murder.
