Teen Gang Jailed for Sexual Assault in High Hazels Park Horror
A gang of teenagers lured their 21-year-old victim to High Hazels Park on November 23, where a brutal sexual assault took place, police revealed.
Two Teens Locked Up After Shocking Crime
One of the boys, who denied the charge, was sentenced to two years in custody. A second 16-year-old also received a two-year sentence following a two-week trial at Sheffield Crown Court. For legal reasons, neither can be named.
Police Arrest Four, One Cleared
South Yorkshire Police’s initial probe led to four arrests. One teenager was released without further action. A third boy, aged 15, faced attempted sexual assault charges but was found not guilty in August.
Temporary Det Ch Insp Ben Wood said: “This was an incredibly distressing incident in a very public place, and I would like to commend the victim for her bravery. There is no doubt that her ordeal will have a lasting impact, and no sentence or court result can undo the damage these individuals have caused.”
