Online Predator Nathan Wing Jailed for Sex Crimes Against Children
Nathan Wing, 28, has been slammed with an eight-year jail sentence for grooming and abusing young girls online. Using a fake name, Wing targeted a 12-year-old girl, sending thousands of sexual messages and coaxing her into sending explicit images. He also arranged to meet her multiple times in person.
Shocking Grooming and Exploitation
Police caught Wing after tracing the phone he used. A forensic search uncovered disturbing evidence of similar abuse involving two other teenage girls. Officers also found numerous explicit internet searches featuring young girls on his device.
Wing, formerly from Newark, kept silent during questioning but later admitted to 11 sexual offences, including inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Harsh Sentence and Lifetime Restrictions
At Nottingham Crown Court on 11 November, Wing was locked up for eight years and must serve an additional four years on licence as a dangerous offender. On release, he will be subject to a strict sexual harm prevention order, severely limiting his freedom.
“Wing is a manipulative sex offender who poses a significant danger to young girls. He knew exactly what he was doing and had absolutely no care for the very significant harm he was causing,” said Detective Constable Stacey Hardstaff.
“His depravity has had a profound impact on his victims and their families. I am pleased he has now been held accountable by the courts. This is a very significant jail sentence that should serve as a warning to anyone else thinking of behaving in a similar way.”
