Justice Served: Page Sentenced for Dangerous Driving
At Lewes Crown Court, Page admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The court heard he had stolen the car keys after a night out at the JD Wetherspoon pub in Hailsham, despite not having permission to drive. He was jailed for three years and nine months and banned from driving for nearly six years.
Police Slam Reckless Behaviour
“Page’s actions were reckless and selfish,” said PC Lloyd Archer of the Roads Policing Unit. “He showed no regard for his passenger who has been left with life-changing injuries.
“He was warned by a friend not to drive and never had permission to use the car. Yet he ignored all warnings, causing devastating consequences.
“He put himself, his passengers, and other road users at serious risk. We’re glad a dangerous driver has been taken off our roads.”
