Reading Man Jailed for Cocaine and Cash Haul
Ervis Hasanaj, 26, from Rowley Road, Reading, was slammed with a 30-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to possession of Class A drugs and criminal property.
Caught Red-Handed in Marlborough High Street
Hasanaj was nabbed on September 5, 2019, when a police officer stopped a BMW 3 Series on Marlborough High Street. Sitting in the passenger seat, he lied about his identity to cops at the scene.
During a search, officers found cocaine on him. A more thorough strip-search at custody revealed three more bags of Class A drugs hidden in his underwear.
Drug Stash in Car Leads to Cash and More Drugs
Hasanaj also had a Ford Fusion car key on him. Police searched the vehicle and uncovered a stash of snap bags filled with Class A drugs, concealed inside a sock. Alongside the drugs, a large amount of cash was seized.
