Police stormed a property in Steeds Lane, Kingsnorth, uncovering cannabis with a massive street value of £45,000 back in January 2020.

Michael Craft Jailed Over Massive Weed Farm

Michael Craft, 40, from Church Hill, Kingsnorth, was arrested and later pleaded guilty to producing a Class B drug and stealing electricity to power his illegal operation.

On Tuesday 20 April 2021, Canterbury Crown Court sentenced Craft to two years and eight months behind bars.

Suspicious Driving Leads Police to Giant Pot Farm

Kent Police were tipped off about suspicious driving around 11am on Friday 24 January 2020. Officers traced the vehicle to a Kingsnorth residence where Craft answered the door but gave shaky answers.

A search exposed over 60 cannabis plants in various growth stages in one bedroom and 29 mature plants in another. A whopping two kilos of harvested cannabis were found stashed in a third room.

The drugs, electrical gear, and hydroponic equipment were seized and later destroyed following a court order.
