Knife Crime Squad Nab Suspect After Car Chase in Nottingham
Officers from Nottingham’s City Knife Crime Team spotted a suspicious vehicle during a patrol in Sneinton at 11.40am on Tuesday, 11 July.
Suspect Flees But Is Caught in Nearby Street
The car was stopped on Hardstaff Road, but the driver made a run for it. Police chased him down and arrested the suspect on Shrewsbury Street.
A knife was found abandoned on the ground near where he was caught.
Tobias Rhule Charged Over Knife and Vehicle Offences
Twenty-year-old Tobias Rhule, from Lord Street, Nottingham, now faces charges for carrying a knife in public and using a vehicle without insurance or a licence.
Rhule appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 12 July, and is set to return to Nottingham Crown Court on 5 September 2023.
