Drug Dealer Jailed for Nearly Six Years After Swindon Crackdown
Kaya Douggan, 26, from Monkshill, Bedfordshire, has been locked up for five years and 11 months at Swindon Crown Court today (19/04). He was found guilty of supplying Class A drugs while operating out of Swindon.
Police Bust ‘Ramzy’ Drug Line
Douggan was caught thanks to a joint investigation by Swindon’s Fortitude team and the Metropolitan Police Service’s Orochi Team. They had been tracking the so-called “Ramzy” drugs line, which flooded Swindon with crack cocaine and heroin.
In October last year, during Operation Accentor – a major police sweep targeting drug dealers – Douggan was stopped on the M2 motorway and arrested. Officers found a stash of suspected Class A drugs in his vehicle.
Hundreds of Drug Dealing Texts Uncovered
Investigators found Douggan had sent 908 texts between September and October 2021, using two mobile phones. These messages advertised Class A drugs and targeted vulnerable users in Swindon.
“Operation Accentor targeted key Class A drug suppliers,” said PC Simon Sanghera from Fortitude. “Douggan’s phones linked him directly to the Ramzy network. He was dealing crack cocaine and heroin while still on licence for previous Class A offences.”
Police Warn of Community Harm
PC Sanghera added: “Class A drugs devastate communities. They fuel addiction, violence, exploitation, and antisocial behaviour. Our Fortitude team is committed to cutting these criminals off at the source.”
