Clapham Man Charged After High-Speed Moped Chase in Chelsea
A dramatic police pursuit erupted in Kensington and Chelsea last Thursday, April 23. Kyrn Bryce, 23, from Clapham, was caught after refusing to stop for officers and driving dangerously.
Chase Sparks on King’s Road
At around 5.15pm, officers from Operation Venice spotted a suspicious moped rider on King’s Road. When police signalled to stop, Bryce floored it instead, sparking a high-speed chase through the streets.
End of the Line on Brixton Road
The pursuit ended on Brixton Road where police finally nabbed the suspect. Bryce was arrested on the spot and has since been charged with failing to stop and dangerous driving.
Next Stop: Croydon Magistrates’ Court
He has been granted bail and is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 26.
