Man Charged with Walthamstow Murder After Fatal Stabbing

A 29-year-old man from Hackney has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Walthamstow. Oguzhan Altun, of Dalston Square, faces charges over the death of a 24-year-old man after a violent altercation on Bromley Road.

Deadly Attack Rocks Bromley Road

Police rushed to the scene at 7.16pm on Thursday, 19 December after reports of a fight. Officers and paramedics found the victim suffering multiple stab wounds. Despite urgent medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem on 20 December confirmed stab injuries as the cause of death. Authorities have yet to release the victim’s name pending formal identification, but are in contact with the family.

Suspect Arrested and Court Date Set

Altun was arrested nearby shortly after the attack on suspicion of murder. He was charged on Saturday, 21 December, and is scheduled to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 23 December.
