Pervert Shaun Higginson Jailed for 13 Years in Shocking Child Sex Abuse Case
Serial Offender Faces Justice
Shaun Higginson, 47, with no fixed address, has pleaded guilty to eight horrific sex offences. His crimes include attempted rape of a girl under 16, gross indecency with a girl under 14, and six counts of indecent assault on the same child.
The vile attacks happened in southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton between 1987 and 1992. Portsmouth Crown Court sentenced Higginson to 13 years behind bars. He was also slapped with a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order, ensuring he stays under strict supervision.
Police Praise Survivor’s Bravery
Detective Constable Mark Harris from Hampshire Constabulary’s Amberstone team saluted the victim for having the courage to come forward decades later.
“Firstly I would like to commend the woman for her courage and bravery in telling us what happened to her when she was young.
“We know how hard it is to come forward and report these offences, whether they have taken place recently or in the past.”
