Police launched tough enforcement patrols across Bulwell following residents’ complaints about shoplifting and antisocial behaviour. Officers were on the beat in plain clothes and uniforms, keeping a close watch over shoppers and making swift arrests.
Quick Arrest After £62.50 Poundland Heist
Plain-clothed cops nabbed 38-year-old Carl Pearson, of Gaul Street, Bulwell, who was caught red-handed leaving Poundland on Main Street with a black holdall stuffed with stolen goods valued at £62.50. Pearson pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five months behind bars at nottingham/" title="Nottingham" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Nottingham Magistrates’ Court the very next day.
Second Shop Burglar Busted
Not stopping there, officers arrested 18-year-old Crissti Mihai from Radford after shop staff detained him for allegedly nicking a purse from the Costa Coffee staff room in Bulwell. Mihai is bailed and set to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.
Heavy Police Presence Targets Crime and Community Safety
Officers also patrolled local streets, tackling drug-related crime and maintaining a strong visible presence to reassure residents. The force tracked down wanted suspects while engaging with the community to hear their concerns.

Shop theft isn’t just a financial hit to businesses, it impacts staff emotionally. We work closely with businesses to respond fast and crack down on offenders.”
