Sex fiend Samuel Anifaloba jailed for abusing children in Rainham
Horrific abuse between 2004 and 2006
Samuel Anifaloba, a man with no fixed address, sexually abused multiple children individually at a property in Rainham between 2004 and 2006. The vile offences shocked the community when they came to light.
Victims bravely come forward years later
The abuse was reported to kent.police.uk" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police on April 30, 2018. Anifaloba was arrested less than two months later, on June 25, 2018. After a trial at maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone Crown Court, the 49-year-old was found guilty of rape and six other serious sexual offences involving a child.
Judge brands him ‘selfish and self-centred’
On May 14, 2024, Anifaloba was sentenced. His Honour Judge Branston slammed him as selfish and self-centred, sentencing him to life on the Sex Offenders’ Register. He also received an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order to stop any future dangers.
Officers praise victims’ courage
Lead investigator Luke Grimmett spoke out:
“Anifaloba subjected each child to vile abuse and I want to commend their bravery in reporting his crimes. It took them years to come to terms with what happened and find the courage to approach Kent Police.”
Grimmett added:
“His actions have left a lasting impact, but I hope the victims can now move forward, knowing he can no longer harm anyone else.”
