Blood Pact Killer Jailed for Brutal Twin Sister Murders
Danyal Hussein, 19, signed a chilling pact in his own blood to murder six women every six months in exchange for financial gain. On 6 June 2020, he made horrifying good on this vow by brutally stabbing sisters Bibaa and Nicole to death in Fryent Country Park, Wembley.
Premeditated Attack on Birthday Celebration
Bibaa, 46, was celebrating her birthday with her sister Nicole, 27, and friends in the park. CCTV showed the sisters in high spirits buying party food before heading to a scenic spot in the park. As the night wore on and the guests left, the sisters were left alone dancing under fairy lights at around 1 a.m., the last time Nicole messaged her boyfriend.
Unbeknownst to them, Hussein had spent hours inside the park, likely watching them. Dressed in medical gloves and a mask, he had armed himself with a balaclava, folding shovels, and a knife block he’d bought days earlier. The attack was savage — Bibaa stabbed eight times, Nicole 28 times, with additional defensive wounds proving she fought fiercely.
Evidence and Investigation Unearth Devastating Truth
Hussein fled the scene around 4 a.m., leaving behind blood-stained gloves, his DNA all over the crime scene, and discarded belongings hidden among rubbish. He was caught on CCTV leaving the park and later returning home with cuts on his hand.
Family and friends reported the missing sisters the next evening. While searching the park, they found the sisters’ glasses, a bloodied knife, and ultimately discovered the bodies. Police launched a massive investigation, scouring the crime scene for three weeks and reviewing hours of footage.
Despite Hussein’s DNA not initially matching anyone on police databases, officers worked with the National Crime Agency to perform familial DNA searches, which led them to Hussein’s doorstep. Hussein was arrested on 1 July with fresh wounds matching those found on the gloves at the scene.
Twisted Motive and Callous Denial
In a handwritten note signed in his own blood, Hussein pledged to “perform a minimum of six sacrifices every six months” to “win the Mega Millions Super Jackpot.” Lottery tickets were found alongside the document in his room. Items linked to the murder—balaclava, shovel pouch, rucksack—were recovered from his home.
“This is one of the most shocking and chilling cases I have ever dealt with,” said Detective Chief Inspector Simon Harding. “Hussein’s twisted fantasies have cut short the lives of two completely innocent women. Their families remain devastated by this senseless violence.”
Despite overwhelming forensic evidence, Hussein refused to confess. He claimed his injuries came from a robbery and denied involvement throughout his trial. His arrogant behaviour added insult to unimaginable injury for the sisters’ loved ones.
Sentencing Awaits for Cold-Blooded Murderer
Following a unanimous verdict at the Old Bailey, Hussein awaits sentencing on 22 September. The jury found him guilty of the murders of Bibaa and Nicole and possession of an offensive weapon.
The horrific case serves as a grim reminder of the darkness lurking beneath the surface of everyday life. Bibaa and Nicole’s families continue to seek justice and closure after their devastating loss.
