Man Stabbed to Death in Early Morning Attack on Bridge Road

At around 4.45am, police were called to a property on Bridge Road after reports a 50-year-old man had been stabbed in the chest. The victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries but tragically died later that day.
Woman Arrested Over Fatal Stabbing
A 42-year-old woman from Litherland has been arrested on suspicion of murder. She remains in police custody for questioning as investigations continue.
Police Hunt for Clues
Officers are combing the area with house-to-house inquiries, CCTV reviews, and witness interviews. Detective Chief Inspector Matt Caton said:
“This was a tragic incident in which a man has sadly lost his life. The investigation is in the very early stages as we try to piece together exactly what happened.”
