Thomas Gwilliam-Carter Exposed Through US FBI Operation

Grotesque Chat Logs Reveal Plans to Drug and Abuse Child

Chat evidence from the encrypted Wickr platform showed Gwilliam-Carter plotting to drug a child to make rape easier. He bragged to fellow paedos online before sharing horrifying videos of the abuse. He later admitted to using Phenergan, a mild sedative, to drug his victim.

Shocking Seizure Finds Thousands of Sick Images, Including Babies

Police swooped on October 1, arresting Gwilliam-Carter at his home and seizing his phone. Forensic examiners uncovered 3,651 indecent images and videos across categories A to C—the worst showing babies being raped. The victim, a young girl, has been safeguarded.

Sentenced for Rape and Distributing Sick Material

At Worcester Crown Court, Gwilliam-Carter pleaded guilty to:

  • One count of rape of a child under 13
  • Three counts of making indecent images of children (IIOC)
  • Five counts of distributing IIOC

He was sentenced on 8 November.

NCA Operations Manager Phil 1 said: “Gwilliam-Carter inflicted the most terrible abuse on a young girl and distributed videos he’d made of it online, all for his and other paedophiles’ pleasure. Child sexual abuse is a global threat and this case highlights why the NCA’s close cooperation with international partners is so vital in tackling it. We also work tirelessly to protect those affected by child sexual abuse and disrupt offenders who pose a sexual threat to children, ensuring they face justice.”
