George Wilson Nabbed in Bangkok’s Red-Light District
George Wilson was arrested on Monday night at a shady hotel in Bangkok’s infamous red-light district. Thai police found over nine kilograms of crystal methamphetamine hidden inside his suitcase.
In footage from the scene, Wilson clings to the suitcase while officers question him. When asked what was inside, he casually replied, “I don’t know.”
Deadly Drugs Hidden as “Chinese Tea” Foil Packets
Police unpacked the bag on camera, revealing flip-flops and a towel before spotting 10 foil packets labelled as “Chinese tea.” Chemical tests confirmed the packets contained crystal meth.
Wilson was paraded in front of media with the drugs laid out. He remains in custody and is due in court today.
Death Penalty Looms Over British Drug Smuggling Suspect
Authorities believe Wilson intended to smuggle the drugs through Suvarnabhumi Airport to contacts overseas. Investigators tracked the suspected drug ring for days before making the arrest.
With Thailand’s harsh drug laws, Wilson could face execution if convicted, putting his fate in grave jeopardy.
