Six Years Behind Bars for Brutal Isle of Sheppey Assaults
Lewis Taylor, 36, has been locked up after terrorising a woman with a violent spree on the Isle of Sheppey. His savage attacks left her hospitalised and deeply traumatised.
From Strangling to Spitting – A Campaign of Chilling Abuse
The horror began in June 2025. Taylor, accusing his victim of cheating, strangled her and slammed her to the floor. But the abuse didn’t stop there. He stormed her workplace, grabbed her by the collar, and spat in her face. On another occasion, he left her sporting two black eyes.
Neighbourhood Shock as Final Attack Escalates
On 27 July in Leysdown, Taylor’s brutality reached a new low. He broke into the victim’s home and repeatedly bashed her head against the toilet, floors, and walls, throwing punches all the while. Then, in an utterly sickening move, he dragged her outside, urinated on her, and smashed her phone. The terrified woman made a desperate dash to neighbours, who immediately called the cops.
Swift Justice: Six Years and a 15-Year Restraining Order
Taylor fled but was nabbed in Sidcup the same evening. Charged with strangulation, assault by beating, actual bodily harm, and criminal damage, he was found guilty at Maidstone Crown Court despite denying everything. On 30 January 2026, he was slammed with a six-year sentence and a 15-year restraining order.
Detective Constable Daniel Grant said: “Taylor subjected his victim to the most harrowing of abuse, showing no remorse or responsibility throughout the investigation and trial. The courage shown by the victim helped ensure her abuser has faced justice.”
