Two Men Nabbed After Spar Burglary in Scarborough
Two local blokes, aged 50 and 42, have been charged over a break-in at the Spar shop on Falsgrave Road. The robbery happened in the early hours of Monday, 7 March. Both will face Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday morning, 8 March.
Swift Police Action Nets Suspects at the Scene
Detective Sergeant David Adams of the Scarborough Investigation Hub praised officers for their quick response. “Residents and business owners can be reassured police acted swiftly and caught the two men at the scene,” he said.
“They have been charged with burglary and remanded in custody ahead of their court appearance. Incidents like this are thankfully rare in Scarborough.”
Community Support Vital in Fighting Crime
DS Adams continued: “We’re committed to making Scarborough and the wider county one of the safest places to live, work and visit.
“This is only possible thanks to the fantastic support from locals who report suspicious activity. That two-way relationship is the lifeblood of effective policing, and we are determined to keep improving it.”
