Illegal Eritrean Migrant Avoids Jail After Sex Assault on Vulnerable Woman
An Eritrean migrant who sneaked into the UK by crossing the Channel has dodged extra prison time after sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman with learning difficulties.
Aron Hadsh, 27, was living in a taxpayer-funded hotel near Heathrow when he attacked the “extremely vulnerable” young woman in June 2023. Although sentenced to 14 months, he’s already out — having served time on remand.
Sex Assault Shocks Fulham Park
The court revealed the victim, described as “very childlike,” was sent to a Fulham food bank by her mother. Hadsh followed her to a nearby park, where he pinned her to his lap and groped her. He then laughed as she fled terrified.
The traumatised woman later spotted Hadsh while shopping. Concerned onlookers stepped in, leading to his arrest.
Guilty of Sexual Assault But No Kidnapping
Hadsh was convicted of sexual assault but cleared of kidnapping charges. Judge Alastair Rolf Hammerton called the attack “deeply distressing” and warned Hadsh poses a “high risk of reoffending.”
Despite showing no remorse and denying the offence, Hadsh was released immediately due to time served in custody. He was slapped with a five-year restraining order banning contact with the victim.
Victim’s Heartbreaking Statement
“I felt my body shut down. I was scared he’d kill me. I didn’t understand why he was doing that to me.”
Her mother says the ordeal has left her daughter battling anxiety and fear, now unable to go out alone.
Outrage Over Asylum Seeker Housing Policies
Hadsh arrived illegally from Eritrea via small boat and was housed near Heathrow at public expense.
The case has sparked uproar over placing unvetted asylum seekers in residential areas — putting vulnerable locals at risk.
Calls for Urgent Home Office Action
Local officials and campaigners demand tougher vetting of asylum seekers and a full review of housing policies for those awaiting immigration decisions.
