Shock Shooting in Upminster: Child and Man Injured

Detectives are scrambling after a shooting left an 11-year-old boy hurt in Upminster. Police were called to a Kerry Drive home at 9.30pm on Friday, 1 May, after reports of gunfire.

Two Victims Found at Scene

Officers and paramedics discovered two injured people inside the house. The young boy had a gunshot wound, while a man in his 40s suffered nasty cuts to his head. It’s unclear if the man’s wounds came from the shooting.

Suspects Flee Before Police Arrive

Several suspects bolted before cops showed up. A police helicopter joined the hunt, but no arrests have been made yet. Both victims were rushed to hospital, with their conditions still unknown.
