Queue Row Turns Deadly as Man Slaps Dad to Death in Beckenham Sainsbury’s

CCTV captures chilling moment Demiesh Williams, 30, calmly walks back into a Beckenham Sainsbury’s before launching a fatal assault over a supermarket queue dispute.

Fatal Clash Over Queue Jumping Ends in Manslaughter

Williams was today jailed for five years and three months for the manslaughter of Andrew Clark, 43, a devoted family man. The court heard Clark confronted Williams after he cut in line. Williams left the store but returned from his car with a face covering and struck Clark with a devastating slap.

Witnesses said Williams approached “with intent” and delivered an open-handed slap that caused Clark to fall and suffer catastrophic brain injuries. The dad died three days later.

Family Heartbreak as Judge Calls It “Unimaginable Grief”

“Andrew Clark was 43 at the time of his death. He was a hard-working family man,” said His Honour Judge Andrew Lees. “The family are dealing with unimaginable grief from which recovery is unlikely to ever be complete.”

Clark’s 14-year-old daughter, speaking through her aunt, blasted Williams for wrecking her family.

“My dad was not just my dad. He was my best friend. We did everything together,” she said. “You got to keep your family, while you destroyed mine in the cruellest way.”

Minor Supermarket Dispute Spirals Into Tragedy

Prosecutor Alistair Richardson revealed the Clarks had been shopping after celebrating Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup win with their family. Williams’s queue jump sparked the deadly confrontation.

Witnesses saw Williams leave to get a face mask from his car before returning and approaching Clark “striding with intent.” Despite denying intent to murder, Williams pleaded guilty to manslaughter. He will serve at least two-thirds of his sentence before possible release on licence.

Clark’s death stands as a tragic warning of how petty rows can explode into deadly violence in an instant.
