Wandsworth Stabbing: Teen Killed in Broad Daylight

Detectives are urgently appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old was fatally stabbed in Wandsworth on Friday afternoon.

Tragic Death on Deeside Road

Police rushed to Deeside Road, SW17, at 4:42pm on 14 June following reports of a stabbing. Officers and paramedics found Cheyon Evans from Tooting in critical condition. Sadly, he died at the scene moments later. A post-mortem confirmed he died from a stab wound to the chest.

Investigation Heats Up with Seven Arrests

The Homicide and Major Crime Command is leading the probe. Detective Chief Inspector Helen Rance said:

“Our investigation into the tragic death of a young man continues and my team are working around the clock to establish what happened that afternoon.

Although we have now made seven arrests, we need to hear from anyone who has any information that will help us. This murder took place in broad daylight on a heavily populated estate; I am sure that there are people who saw, or heard something, but who are yet to come forward.

It is vital that we piece together the events that led to Cheyon losing his life. Together, the police and the local community can find the answers that his family so desperately need.”
