Devizes Dad Admits Manslaughter of Baby Daughter

Baby’s Mother Also Guilty of Cruelty
Tragedy deepened when Miyah’s mother, 28-year-old Jasmine Warnock, also pleaded guilty to cruelty against a child under sixteen, under Section 1 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1933. The pair’s actions have left the town stunned.
Heartbreak After Emergency Call
The grim case began on September 20, 2021, when emergency services rushed to the Warnock home amid serious medical concerns for baby Miyah. She was rushed to Bristol Children’s Hospital, but despite heroic efforts from doctors, Miyah died on October 19, 2021.
Sentence Set for March
Both Samuel and Jasmine Warnock will be sentenced at Winchester Crown Court on March 18. The hearing hopes to deliver justice and some measure of closure to a case that shattered families and shocked Devizes.
