Essex Paedophile Jailed for Seven Years Over SHPO Breach
Luke Tucker, 23, a registered sex offender from Essex, has been sentenced to seven years behind bars. The sex predator broke his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) by making inappropriate contact with minors and hiding banned devices.
Groomed Boys with Lies and Gifts
Tucker pretended to be 16 to befriend a 13-year-old boy. Over a month, he showered the boy with gifts, stayed at his home, and invited him to Tucker’s own house. Investigators also uncovered messages sent to a 15-year-old, where Tucker tried to coax the youngster into sexual activity.
Hidden Devices and Social Media Fail
Officers raided Tucker’s home on March 25 and found memory cards, USB sticks, and hard drives he never declared—breaking his SHPO terms again. A forensic phone check revealed multiple social media apps, another breach of the order.
Justice Served at Chelmsford Crown Court
Tucker faced charges for inciting a child to engage in sexual activities, breaking a sexual harm prevention order, and failing to notify authorities as required. On November 22, Chelmsford Crown Court handed down his hefty seven-year sentence.
“Tucker showed blatant disregard for the legal restrictions placed on him,” said PC Graeme Braby, lead investigator. “Thanks to MOSOVO and the dedicated professionals working to protect our communities, offenders like Tucker are being brought to justice and kept away from vulnerable children.”
