Five men have been hit with multiple charges after police officers were viciously attacked in Dartford in the early hours of 22 April 2026.
Chaos on Carlisle Road: Police Officers Attacked
Just after 1am, officers stopped a vehicle of interest on Carlisle Road. The situation quickly turned violent when seven officers were assaulted. Two suffered serious injuries and were rushed to hospital, but thankfully have now been discharged. The other five officers sustained minor injuries.
Charges Laid Against Five Suspects
The five suspects were arrested on the spot and charged the following day:
- Yusef Johnson, 31, Singleton Close, London – charged with two counts of GBH and affray.
- Jordan Johnson, 31, Carlisle Road, Dartford – charged with affray, ABH, and assault on an emergency service worker.
- Gary Nembhard, 55, Bennetts Close, Mitcham – charged with affray.
- Kamal Johnson, 25, Carlisle Road, Dartford – charged with affray.
- Georgie Bishop, 25, Farrington Avenue, Orpington – charged with assault on an emergency service worker and obstructing a constable.
Magistrates Court Hearing and Next Steps
The five appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates Court on 23 April. Yusef Johnson and Jordan Johnson were remanded in custody. Gary Nembhard, Kamal Johnson, and Georgie Bishop were granted bail. They face their next court date on Friday 22 May 2026 at Maidstone Crown Court.
