Rapper Hypo Fatally Stabbed After Party in Chigwell Road
Tragic Stabbing Rocks London Party
Rap artist Lamar Jackson, known as Hypo, was fatally stabbed after a party on Chigwell Road in the early hours of June 3. Police and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene at around 12:10am but despite their efforts, the 39-year-old Hackney resident was pronounced dead on site.
Investigation Underway as Police Seek Witnesses
A post-mortem confirmed sharp force trauma to the chest as the cause of death. Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are appealing to witnesses to come forward. Hundreds were at the party’s end and many may have crucial information.
“Lamar’s family is in mourning and requires your assistance,” said Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith. “Please contact us if you saw anything or recorded the incident. Your phone call could help bring answers to Lamar’s family.”

Man Charged with Murder Remanded in Custody
A 32-year-old man was arrested on June 6 and charged with murder and possession of a bladed article. He appeared at the Old Bailey on June 8 and was remanded until his next hearing on August 24.
