In the small hours of Wednesday, officers swooped on homes in Ward End, Saltley, and Alum Rock, arresting three men aged 19 to 29. They are suspected of distributing terrorist material.
Later that evening, a fourth man, just 20 years old, was also detained on similar terror-related charges. All four have been released on bail while police dig deeper.

The next day saw police serve another warrant at an Alum Rock property, intensifying the crackdown.
